New board president, directors appointed
Edmonton - A new board president has been appointed to a two-year term at Built Green Canada, joined by four new board members, at March 28's annual general meeting.
A board member since 2011 and serving as board vice-president since 2011, new board president David Turnbull from Landmark Group of Builders will be joined by David Adair, Jason Agar, Carl Lauren and Mark Nowotny. The four new directors have been appointed to two-year terms, replacing those whose terms have finished: Brian Hayashi, Dennis Rithaler,
Pat Caporale and David Brix. Bard Golightly steps down from his two-year term as board president.
Adair is Director at Blackfish Homes Ltd., Agar is Chief Operating Officer at Morrison Homes, Lauren is Manager of Operations at Tyee Custom Homes and Nowotny is production manager at My House Design Build Team.
"We are thrilled about the new complement on the board," says Bard Golightly, Built Green Canada's past board president. "The new directors offer fresh voices to our decision-making process while Dave Turnbull brings a wealth of experience as he takes the reigns of the board leadership."
Built Green Canada offers programs, which assist in providing sustainability to the residential building sector. The programs are created by builders for builders and currently the organization has representation in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.
